Update: Funding goal reached!

As I type this, I can't believe it's only been a little over 4 hours since I posted a call for help in funding Extraordinary Year.  In that short time, many of you have risen to the call and been incredibly generous.  So generous, in fact, that we have met and exceeded the amount necessary to continue the show through the end of the year!

I am absolutely welling up with gratitude.  I will be extending a personal and heart-felt thank you to each individual who contributed.

You guys are amazing!!!

Swallowing my pride and asking for your help

Wow...This is really hard for me to do, but I'm up against a wall.

I've been paying Blog Talk Radio on a monthly basis to host Extraordinary Year.  Unfortunately, the fund I've been using to do so has run dry.  I loathe having to do this, but I must reach out to you the audience for help.

I look at Extraordinary Year as "our" show.  Not just mine, but a cooperative project with all of you.  If you can find the wherewithal to donate even just a little bit, the program becomes all that much "yours".

It costs $40USD/month to host the show.  There are only 3 months left to go in this year.  That means I need to find $120 between now and then.  The first $40 will be due after the first week of October.

Any amount you can deem worthy of donating will be incredibly appreciated.

That's not to say the program won't run beyond 2012 (maybe under a different name), but I think we can all agree the end of this extraordinary year is a great big question mark right now.

If you're reading these words, please don't feel like I expect anything from you.  I don't.  I understand how strapped so many are, believe me.  Anyone in this economy is encountering challenges.  So many of us are trying to make ends meet while raising children and just trying to live life.

But if you happen to be swimming in cash, this program could really use your help.  I thank you in advance for your generosity, and the divine in me honors the divine in you.

Introducing a new segment on Extraordinary Year: Sound Off!

I'm introducing a new segment called "Sound Off" during tonight's "Where Things Stand" themed episode of Extraordinary Year.  We've taken callers many times in the past, but never more than one at a time.  Tonight, that could change.

Here's how "Sound Off" works:  We take the top 3 callers in the cue and open the line.  I'll pose a topic, and callers...sound off!  

If you ask me, it sounds like it could be fun.  Might even be energetic or illuminating.  Who wants to play?
